The KPR Alliance (North Korea, Pakistan and Russian Alliance) is a military alliance between North Korea, Pakistan and Russia, and the main antagonist faction in Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation. The KPR Alliance is a terrorist group formed by the union of North Korean, Pakistani and Russian terrorist cells that betrayed their countries. They all have their own reason to attack the United States and decided to merge for a surprise assault.
History
Background
The KPR Alliance was founded at some point by rogue Russian and North Korean generals Dobrynya Popovich and Tong along with ex-US Green Beret Edward Page. After the death of Pablo Al-Banni during Operation Black Pegasus, one of the escaped leaders of Pablo's terrorist cell, Popovich, managed to escape from US custody and sought an alliance with rogue North Korean General Tong to form a military power against the United States.
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation
Attack on Los Angeles
A few years after operation Black Pegasus, the KPR launched an attack on the West Coast of the United States by bringing down their communications and defense systems which paved the way for deploying troops, tanks and other vehicles, and several WMDs on major US cities including Chicago via a nuclear suitcase WMD. At first the United States was caught off guard by the sudden invasion but managed to secure a hard drive in the NSA building which contained vital intel. Anvil-1 with members James Walker , Kelly, and Turner were sent to Los Angeles to recover the hard drive and take out the KPR forces in the city. This was the first part of Operation Blockbuster.
They are again seen transporting troops through bridges around US Urban areas, and the AC-130 squad is sent to destroy the transport routes and eliminate them. (02: Sacrifice) Following the destruction of KPR transport routes, the KPR makes their last stand at Mount Lee in Hollywood against the attacking U.S. Forces. Amidst heavy fighting and the death of Turner, the KPR Forces are defeated in LA.
Alaskan Ambush
Walker and Sergeant Downs were sent to Alaska to investigate the whereabouts of the Razor squad that went MIA. They fight through local KPR resistance, but succeeds in rescuing the survivors of the Razor Squad, Anderson and Starks. KPR forces failed to catch the fleeing members in the resulting car chase(04: Hostile Territories, 05: Chase).
Dragon King of the Sea
The KPR presence in the United States was finished off by an operation by Phantom Unit onboard their carrier Yongwang (Dragon King of the Sea) which rested on the Bering Strait as their forward operations base. After fighting through various sections of the Carrier, they reached the bridge. Walker killed the Carriers Admiral Kim Il Sung and destroyed the Carrier dealing a massive blow to the KPR (06: Dragon King of the Sea).
Tanks in turmoil
Despite taking out the Carrier, The KPR still remained a threat worldwide. They had a Tank Factory in Siberia, Russia, witch was building tanks, aircraft, and munitions and were rearming their units. After multiple intense firefighting against the defending Russian KPR forces, Phantom Unit successfully infiltrated the KPR factory, and managed to overload the factories reactor, destroying it and cut off KPR's supplies and prevented them from developing any more battle tanks (07: Cold Blooded, 08: Chaos Factory).
Page's Pakistan
After the destruction of the tank factory, the United States launched an armed assault in Gurdal, Pakistan to locate Edward Page (who was responsible for bringing down the American communication and defensive network prior to the KPR invasion), bring the Al-Akrab out of power and find intel about other American targets. After being interrogated by Phantom Unit, Page revealed that North Korean General Tong was preparing another attack against American soil (09: Raging Bird, 10: Blood Sand).
North Korea
After the Mission to Pakistan, Phantom Unit headed to Pangun Airfield in North Korea to take out their North Korean KPR troops, fighters and General Tong. After clearing out a small outpost, the airfields wall was destroyed by a nearby anti-aircraft battery and an air raid siren started going off. North Korean KPR troops defended the airfield from Phantom Unit. Once they reached the control tower in the airfield, they located General Tong, but surrendered after being attacked by his guards. After giving a speech, Tong was killed by Walker (11: Surgical Strikes).
Russian Retaliation
A small detachment of North Koreas KPR troops defend a village in Kijeng, North Korea, in order to launch a nuclear missile against the United States mainland. Mannequins were set up in buildings to trick Phantom Unit and set up an ambush. Once the Missile was launched, Russian KPR troops led by Popovich arrived in Kijeng and captured Phantom Unit (12: Facade).
Final Strike
The last of the Russian KPR forces seen in the game defended the Kijang Missile Facility in North Korea. After Downs and Walker escaped from captivity, they shut down 2 of their missiles, 1 targeted at Seattle, Washington. Popovich had sealed the Missile control room and changed the codes so the 3rd missile launch could not be aborted. Downs and Walker placed C4 on the Missile planning to blow it up after it launched. After escaping trough a tunnel to a small helipad, they defeated more KPR troops before detonating the 3rd missile mid air to Popovich's surprise. With his and the KPR's plans ruined, a vengeful Popovich began beating Sargent Downs as Walker regained conciseness. Walker drew a knife in an attempt to stab Popovich, but Popovich swung around, countered the strike, and managed to disarm the knife from Walker. Walker soon pushed Popovich through a sharp pipe, impaling him. Popovich pulled out his Vulture pistol, but Walker disarmed Popovich before he could kill him and grabbed the knife on the ground. Walker stabbed the knife into Popovich's neck, killing him and killing 2 KPR leaders within 2-3 days, finally ending the KPR leadership (13: Martyrdom).
Defeat
After Popovich's death and the 3 nuclear missiles destroyed by Phantom Unit, American forces were able to restore their defense network and retake their captured cities from the KPR. With 2 of their 3 leaders dead and US forces reclaiming their remaining occupied cities after the attack, the KPR no longer posed a threat towards the U.S. mainland.

Trivia
- It remains unknown what happened to the KPR Alliance after the death of Popovich and the Fallen Nation Incident. The only remaining leader who was alive was Edward Page. It is likely that they were disbanded after all 3 of their leaders were killed/captured. Some of their forces could have joined Saunders Global Security or Page's Unified Citizens terrorist group, however this is unlikely as both organizations didn't appear to have any members that were North Korean, Pakistani, or Russian.
- Saunders Global Security and the Unified Citizens could be seen as the unofficial successors to the KPR Alliance.
- This is the only multi-country faction to appear in the series.
- Even though Pakistan is part of the alliance, there are no Pakistani leaders nor soldiers confirmed to be in the KPR except for Al-Akrab appearing briefly in the campaign.
- It is unknown why the leaders of the KPR defected from their former countries.
- It is clear that the Koreans are the actual force of the faction and the real threat without the need for an alliance, as they are the most armed and organized, and the majority of the enemies that faced in the game and the coordination of attacks on the west coast was from General Tong, While the rest are just Russian mercenaries and useless Pakistani terrorists with unknown leaders who look like militias with their irregular uniforms.
