- > For the mission in Zero Hour, see 06: Manhunt.
Manhunt is a game mode that first appears in Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation, but is also present in Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour. However, the mode plays differently in both games.
Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation
| Battle | Team Battle | Capture the Flag | Manhunt | Team Manhunt | Zone Control | Destruction | Bomb Squad |
Manhunt is essentially a mix of the gameplay modes Battle and Capture The Flag. All players are scattered across the map, and must find and obtain a flag, and whoever hold it the longest in total wins. The player with the flag is always indicated on the radar, and therefore vulnerable against every enemy player.
Strategy
DO NOT use Camouflage as this does not protect you from appearing on the radar so instead, use Radar Jammer, as this will almost guarantee a win when deployed at the right place. While having the Jammer deployed, stay in one less used spot for two minutes because the Jammer will self-destruct after that time.

Manhunt in Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour is not played as a free-for-all manhunt as shown above in the Modern Combat 3: Fallen Nation section, however is played as a Team Manhunt mode. The games follow the same conventional rules.
Customization
In setting up the match, the host can change the score and time limits. Available time limits are 10, 15, 20, or 25 minutes with 20 as the default; and available score limits are 75, 100, 150, or 250 points with 100 as the default.
Strategy
Seeing as the player who holds the flag appears on the radar at all times, using Active Camouflage or a suppressed weapon is not recommended. Using a decent close to mid range weapon is mandatory to be effective. The SOCAR-S A1, Charbtek-28 or the Compakt-665 are all solid choices. It is also best to stick with teammates, pushing through the enemy, or setting up in a relatively secure spot. Proximity Mines are very useful, as enemies that attempt to sneak up behind the player will be welcomed with an explosive surprise. If a teammate deploys an Auto-Turret, the Auto-Turret will target approaching foes, meaning that everyone will have a warning that enemies are headed for you.
