Azimi (Arabic: العظيم) was a presidential candidate in an unknown Middle Eastern country, supported by the United States. He later revealed himself to be a part of what was left of Abu Bahaa's terrorist cell.

Escort to the U.S. embassy

The United States had an interest in an upcoming Middle Eastern presidential election, and Azimi was the candidate they supported. Razor Squad was sent to a Middle Eastern city to escort Azimi to the U.S. embassy located outside of town. The building where they were located was constantly attacked by mortar fire, and Azimi was reluctant to leave for the embassy, since the terrorists knew he was with the squad. Anderson took position on the rooftops and covered the Humvee in which Azimi and the rest of Razor Squad was in and managed to successfully leave the city, though Azimi declared an intention to report the squad due to rising tempers. The situation outside of town was worse and more terrorists attacked the vehicle, but Razor Squad completed their mission and safely transported Azimi to the embassy. He stated that he will not report the squad to the Ambassador since they kept him alive.

Connection to Abu Bahaa

After Azimi arrived at the U.S. embassy, terrorists attacked the building, and Razor Squad was sent in to find hostages, particularly Azimi. However, after Azimi was rescued, he pulled a gun on Rollins and held him hostage. This was discovered when Rollins secretly turned on his radio, thus informing the rest of the squad that he had been captured. Azimi led Rollins to a garden area, where Anderson intercepted him and they began fighting, with Azimi on top of a large round stone structure, and Anderson on the ground. Azimi thought he was safe from his position, but Anderson began placing explosives on the structure's supports, destroying them one by one. In the meantime Azimi announced that he was affiliated with Abu Bahaa, and that the U.S. would never be able to destroy the terrorists completely. Soon after, Anderson succeeded in knocking down the structure, and Azimi was killed in the debris.
