The WLA's attack on Venice was seen as yet another move to garner public attention. Gilman Security was given the task of sending a response team to remove all hostiles. Phoenix was chosen to be part of a covert side-mission led by Jonathan "Bull" Taylor.

Insertion is a mission in Modern Combat 5: Blackout.

Plot

[[Jonathan Taylor|Bull] and Phoenix are sent to Venice to eliminate the WLA terrorist threat. They reach their destination by helicopter.

Underway, they are constantly attacked by WLA helicopters. The unnamed soldier behind the minigun is shot down and falls out of the helicopter. Phoenix tries to save him, but almost falls himself too. Taylor pulls Phoenix back on board, and Phoenix gets behind the minigun.

After all enemies are cleared, the team jumps out of the helicopter.
